PRESIDENT

The president is the leader of the student union board and the owner representative of HHGS Holding concern. The president represents HHGS to its stakeholders, which means a lot of networking and meeting people. This role gives you a helicopter perspective of the whole Student Union, and you’ll be trained both in your organisational, operative, strategic and leadership skills. It is one of the four management positions that is paid full time and requires involvement the whole academic year.

 

VICE PRESIDENT

The Vice President of HHGS is mainly responsible for making sure the course and values of the student union are represented and developed. This role also includes handling the internal administration within the Union such as agendas, protocols, statues and policies. The Vice President also represents HHGS in different boards such as GFS and supports the president with various tasks, including internal and external strategy.

 CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the economy and financial management of the student union. This includes reviewing and monitoring budgets, invoicing, and payments management, among others. As CFO you work closely with all the Financial officers in every project and association by being a supportive role to them and guide them in their daily work.It is one of the four management positions that is paid full time and requires involvement the whole academic year.

HEAD OF EDUCATION

The Head of Education is responsible for monitoring the education at Handels and for representing all of the school’s students in several educational affairs. Responsibilities also include working with student health and student work environment questions. It is one of the four management positions that is paid full time and requires involvement the whole academic year.

HEAD OF BUSINESS RELATIONS

The Head of Business Relations is responsible for external relations. Main responsibility is to build a bridge between student life and future careers in cooperation with the Business Relations Committee and its partners. Networking with the business sector as well as current students is a part of the role. It is one of the four management positions that is paid full time and requires involvement the whole academic year.

HEAD OF MARKETING

The Head of Marketing is responsible for marketing. Main responsibilities are for instance to keep members on track with the union’s work whilst overseeing social media, tv-screens and websites. In this position you get to work closely with all the other departments and associations of the Union. Further, The Head of Marketing acts as Head of the Marketing Committee and puts a great deal of time on brainstorming ideas for future marketing strategy.

 

HEAD OF ADMINISTRATION

The Head of Administration is responsible for the management of premises and inventories as well as the student union member’s ability to access these HHGS facilities. The Head of Administration is also responsible for the Student Union Car.

 

HEAD OF EVENTS

The Head of Events is responsible for HHGS events and acts as a supporter for student associations that organize events. A big part of the work is the responsibility for Handelspuben and the contact with the associations working in the pub

HEAD OF ASSOCIATIONS AND PROJECTS

The Head of Associations and Projects is responsible for the wellbeing of all our wonderful associations and projects. What does that imply? Well, it’s kind of like what I assume being a parent is like. Keeping track of the budgets, the activity reports and the member lists of the different associations and projects. Making sure their opinions are brought up during the Board meetings.

HEAD OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

The Head of International Relations is responsible for representing and caring for international students in HHGS as well as representing HHGS in international matters. The daily work involves contact with the International office, handling questions regarding internationalization and running the International Committee (IntU), which welcomes and arrange social events for incoming exchange students

HEAD OF SUSTAINABILITY

The Head of Sustainability is responsible to ensure that all activities within the Student Union are as sustainable as possible. The broad area includes social, economic and environmental sustainability. More concretely the Head of Sustainability is responsible for the HHGS sustainability certification and policy as well as Handels Council for Sustainability. Since this position in the board is new, there is much room for shaping the role and to build a future for it
